Professor and Registrar

As a Professor and Registrar of Sangam University, I welcome all the freshers who joined Sangam University.

The aim of the university is committed to provide an educational environment that is competitive, current and in tune with the needs of the global markets thus creating ample opportunities in employment sector within the state and the country as a whole.

The University is committed to promoting excellence through holistic teaching-learning and research processes aimed at unleashing the creative potential of every student, thus enabling them to become catalysts of social and economic transformation necessary for a just, humane and peaceful world.

It is our belief that these goals can be best achieved through transparency, democratic values, equity, accountability and accessibility in an atmosphere that fosters intellectual freedom. It is our constant Endeavour to actively ingrain these values into the day-to-day functioning of the university.

Sangam University Bhilwara will always be a learner centric institute, dedicated to the success of the students and committed to excellent teaching, innovative research and responsible community service.


DIG Sharad Mantri TM (Retd) joined the Sangam University, Bhilwara in the month of july-2015 as a Professor and Registrar after a very illustrious career spanning over 36 years in the Indian Coast Guard under Ministry of Defense. He obtained his graduation degree from Mohanlal sukhadia University [MLSU] Udaipur in the year 1975. He has completed his M.Tech from IIT-Roorkee in the year 1978. He has also completed his PGDM (HRD) from IGNOU in the year 2008.

He joined Indian Coast Guard in the year of 1980, while in the Coast Guard service, he had unique honour of heading most of the prestigious and coveted appointments. His key appointments includes Commander, Coast Guard Maharashtra, Principal Director HRD at Coast Guard HQRS. Commanding officer ICGS Varad. Commander, Coast Guard Goa, Office-in-charge Bureau of Naviks, Provost marshal of Coast Guard and Commander Coast Guard, West Bengal.

During his service career, he has completed Intelligence Capsule Course with Border Security Force, Senior Defense Management Course, Advance Course in Strategic Management from College of Defense Management Secunderabad. and Mass Media Course conducted by Indian Institute of Mass Communication New Delhi for Senior Officers of the Armed Forces.

He has attended Joint Military & Civil Training Programme on National Security at LBS NAA at Musoorie, and seminar on National Security at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad. He represented Indian delegation in peoples Rebuplic of China for "China International Rescue and salvage conference 2006" at Kunming city. He also led the Indian delegation to Myanmar for joint operations of police, customs and Myanmar navy in the year 2003. He actively participated in operation "PAWAN" at Srilanka under Indian Peace Keeping Operation.

DIG Sharad Mantri TM (Retd) was commended by the Board of Central Excise of India in the year of 1987 by the then Honourable Finance Minister Shri. Ajit Panja for Anti Smuggling Operations. He was felicitated by Lions Club International Vasco-Da-Gama, Goa for exemplary leadership qualities and timely action for rescue operation, saving lives of 21 personnel and scientist working on board Matsya vessel of FSI in Sept 1998. He was also commended by Director General, Coast Guard for setting up Archive Cell in Indian Coast Guard in the year 2002. He has also been awarded Tatrakshak Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of the Republic Day-2015 by the Honourable President of India.
