Project Exhibition by Department of Mechanical Engineering

Sangam University believes in overall development of students. We always motivate to student to transfer of theoretical knowledge into practical. Keeping this mind department of Mechanical Engineering   organized Project Exhibition. They developed lot of projects like as Cricket bowling machine, Compressed air engine vehicle, Tilting suspension with three wheel drive, Stair climbing robot, Port Container Crane, Automatic folding and sliding shutter and Rope Elevator. Department of Mechanical Engineering shows a perfect example, how we motivate to the students.

Workshop on Business-Analytics and Cloud Computing

This workshop aimed to give students a general view on cloud computing and business analytics. The topic which was covered during workshop: what are the primary characteristics of cloud computing? What is the need, provide direction and in some instances specific instructions on the use of information and data, to develop a common platform for industry and academia interface in the area of consumer and business analytics, facilitate research and research based knowledge sharing in the area of business and consumer analytics, new methodologies in the emerging field of analytics, especially those methodologies that have been tried and tested in the domain of business decision making.

Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Janam Shatabdi Samaroh 

Shri Mukund Bihari OSD Ministry of Home affairs Govt of Rajasthan was the chief guest of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Janam Shatabdi Samaroh which was held on 04th March 2017 in Sangam University. In the Seminar on “EkatmakManavvad” Faculty and students were deeply inspired by his thoughts.

Talk on Technology Based Learning

Mr. Bharat and Mr. Aravinth from M. Tutor, Chennai delivered an expert lecture on Technology Based Learning at Sangam University Bhilwara on 27th Feb 2017. Mr. Bharat talked about the different delivery modes and forms. They can include online tools, such as discussion boards and e-mail and real time events, through videoconferencing and web conferencing. They can be self-paced, and have a varying focus of instruction.

Workshop on PSCAD software

Two days workshop was conducted on 24th and 27th March 2017 of PSCAD software, conducted by Mr. Atul Gandhi. This workshop aimed to give a basic knowledge to the students about PSCAD. PSCAD is the professional’s simulation tool for analyzing power systems transients. It is also known as PSCAD/EMTDC. The topic which covered during workshop: Study interactions between SVCs, HVDC and other non-linear devices, Typical Studies Conducted Using PSCAD, What is New in PSCAD V4?

Talk on Reaction Mechanism

Prof. Shailendra Jain delivered an expert Lecture on Reaction Mechanism on 18th April 2017. He talked about to describe in detail what takes place at each stage of an overall chemical reaction, Reaction Intermediates and the detailed steps of a reaction.

Talk on PLC- SCADA                                                                                   

Mr. Arpit Siyal (Director of Vision Automation Solution, Udaipur) delivered an expert lecture for PLC- SCADA Certificate course on 21st and 22nd April. He explained objectives of PLC SCADA is to make the aspiring engineers acquainted with the conceptual as well as practical knowledge of the Industrial Automation & latest technologies being used to achieve industrial automation.  From this session Students have got basic knowledge of TPS and they understood different parts of thermal power plant & able to get working of it.

Industry Orientation Program

In program which arranged for B. Tech. CS/ME/EE III Year from 01st June to 10th June, 2017.  Various industry experts were invited to give valuable guidance to students before they pick electives and same will help them to choose their field of Semester Internship. Experts were from Solar Field, Automation Field, Fabrication Field, Language Experts, Software Field, and Remote Sensing Field. Also students were given exposure to various industries viz. Secure meter Udaipur, Eminent Dealers Raila, JK Tyres Kankroli, Agucha Mines etc. Students submitted a report on their learning with this Industry Orientation Program.

Workshop on Solid Works

Sangam University believes in overall development of the students. keeping this in mind, 6th day’s workshop was organized on Solid works for the students of Diploma and B.Tech Mechanical on 6th to 11th November, 2017.This workshop aimed to give students a general and conceptual view on solid works.

Workshop on Electrical Panel design

Department of Electrical Engineering organized two days workshop on Electrical Panel by Mr. Arpit Siyal, Director Vision Automation Pvt. Ltd. Udaipur on 10th to 11th November, 2017. In this workshop students learnt the entire components which are required for design the electrical panel.

Workshop on Solid Works

Sangam University believes in overall development of the students. keeping this in mind, 6th day’s workshop was organized on Solid works for the students of Diploma and B.Tech Mechanical on 6th to 11th November, 2017.This workshop aimed to give students a general and conceptual view on solid works.

Workshop on 3D printing

Department of Mechanical Engineering Organized a workshop on 3D printing, also an Expert lecture on Innovation into reality using 3D printer and demonstration on Ansys by CADD Center on 11th November 2017. The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about how various activates related to Mechanical Engineering as well as 3D printing. The student learnt Innovation into reality how can be achieved.

Python workshop

School of Engineering organized a five days workshop in collaboration with IOT technology, Bhilwara. The session was taken by Mr. Anuj Agrawal CEO of IOT Technology. This workshop aimed to give students a general view on Internet on Things, its future scope and job opportunities in the relevant field. The session was meant for, B.Tech.[CS] MCA and BCA students.

Project Management Practices with Agile CDAC, November ,2016

One day Workshop was organized by C-DAC on 12th Nov.2016 for B.Tech.[CS] MCA and BCA students. The session was taken by Dr. Manoj Gupta, Center Coordinator, C-DAC ATC NETCOM branch Jaipur. This workshop aimed to give students a general view on supercomputers, project management practices with agile and related technology. The topics which were covered during workshop: How to manage tasks and time for activities, Methods of accomplishments of the Projects, Learning of tools and techniques to handle the small to big tasks and projects, Time & Resource management methodologies, Agile methods to handle changeable requirements

Sangam Spinners India Ltd, Bhilwara, November,2016

Industrial visit was carried out at Sangam Spinners India Ltd, Bhilwara on 23rd November, 2016 for B. Tech III Year EE student and Diploma final year. The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about how various activities related to manufacturing, production and marketing are carried out in company. As soon as we reached company we were guided by Mr. S.K. Jain and he gave the orientation of company. After introduction students were divided in four groups of 15 and were headed by one of the managers of the company who helped them to understand how production is carried out in company and how company reaches their customer.

Visit @ Thermal power Plant

To know the working of Thermal Power Plant B.Tech students visited Sangam Thermal. Students were given deep insight of the Maintenance of Boiler Feed Water Pump which is heart of any thermal power plant. They also studied about performance characteristics of FD and ID fan. Mr. Pratap, Joint president explained the start up process for the boiler and utilities was also discussed.

“The visit was very fruitful we observed energy conversion stages used in power plant .We collected various information regarding waste water treatment and boilers. Many of our doubts were cleared by the discussion with experts of the plant.”

Visit @ Sangam Process

B.Tech I Year students visited Sangam Process in the month of October, 2016. Students were given exposure of Processing of Fabric. They also got knowledge about effluent treatment of waste water. “This visit gave us the brief idea about the manufacturing processes in plant like Spinning, Weaving, Finishing and Packing process. Shree Electricals Ltd, Bhilwara

B.Tech III Year Electrical students visited to Shree Electrical Ltd, Bhilwara. They were guided by one of the representatives of a company who explained what type of items are required to make a transformer, the transformer testing, the machinery used to make the transformer and the total man power utilization in the industrial processes and he finally added that this exposure would bring a change in the attitude as the approach would be from class room to the research field. “This industrial visit was the real time experience to us. Seminar and Workshop

Sangam University has organized one month Industrial Automation Certified PLC/SCADA course in the month of June 2015 for third-year electrical engineering students. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is a digital computer used for automation of industrial processes, such as control of machinery on factory assembly lines. SCADA stands for supervisory control and data acquisition. The term SCADA usually refers to centralized systems which monitor and control entire sites or complexes of systems spread out over large areas (anything between an industrial plant and a country). As a PLC SCADA Engineer, you are going to monitor the servers and software that allow for communication with the field equipment. SCADA is even used in hospitals for researching the obscure disease and for correlating data.

Seminar and Workshop

Sangam University conducted two days workshop on “PCB Design” for Diploma and B.Tech students of all branches on 21 and 22 Nov. 2014. The main aim of this workshop was to provide exposure in real time PCB fabrication.

Cyber Security - July

Sangam University Bhilwara Rajasthan – Two-week ISTE Workshop on Cyber Security under the National Mission on Education through ICT MHRD Govt. of India from 10th July to 20th July 2014 conducted by IIT Bombay Prof. Bernard L. Menezes who is the author of the book titled “Network Security and Cryptography”. A complimentary copy of the book was also given to each of the participants.

Computer Programming- June

This workshop trained the teachers for adopting the use of MOOCs in general, and empowered them to use the blended model in particular; it has been decided to run some of the T10KT workshops, partially using the MOOCs approach.

This workshop provided us training to make extensive use of Technology in teaching pedagogy

Computer Networking- June

The workshop was organized from 16 June to 21 June 2014. This workshop aimed at improving the teaching skills of faculty in core engineering. To train teachers for adopting the use of MOOCs in general, and to empower them to use the blended model in particular, it has been decided to run some of the T10KT workshops, partially using the MOOCs approach.

  • Sangam is a remote center for conducting ISTE workshops under national mission on education through information and communication technology (nmeict) under mhrd govt. Of India in alliance with various IIT’s.

Fluid Mechanics- May

The workshop was organized from 20 May to 30 May 2014. In this intensive course, the professors of IIT Kharagpur covered various topics related to fluid statics, fluid kinematics, Reynolds transport theorem, Stokes law of viscosity and Navier, Internal flows, and External Flows.

BSE awareness workshop Aug

Sangam University joined hands with a Ph.D. chamber of commerce and BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) for conducting a workshop. Mr. Harbinder Singh Sokhi expert from BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) conducted the session which was enthusiastically attended by the faculty members and students of Sangam University. The session started with the history and evolution of BSE, various investment avenues including the stock options, money market and capital market, the role of department of investor services, do’s and don’ts of primary and secondary markets procedures for dealing with brokers and sub-brokers, mutual funds, risk management, equity saving schemes for tax saving benefits, and steps involved in becoming a capital market investor, role of SEBI etc.

MSME workshop Aug

Mr. K.C. Bhukesh, Assistant Director and Consultant Mr. R.S. Shekhawat from MSME Jaipur visited Sangam University and conducted an interactive session highlighting the need for the Entrepreneurial culture among youth including the importance of MSME in the economy of India and basis for classification of enterprises under micro small and medium enterprises as well as the various incentives available for setting up MSME.
