Program Overview
Management education is spreading its efficacy all over the world and undergoing transition by time. Need of the hour is to enrich the intellectual capital and simultaneously focus on linking classroom teaching in management education with research and adding new dimensions to the body of knowledge. Research is a vanguard in management education and fresh knowledge with updated issues should be developed from time to time and thus is a need of learning research methodology tools among faculty members and research scholars to enhance their teaching skills. It is important to impart knowledge pertaining to scientific inquiry and to integrate qualitative and quantitative approaches in research. Knowledge of applied research tools and methodology along with the use of software helps in integrating research and practice. Hence, to ensure more skilful and scientific data analysis as well as high quality research output from faculty, a formal training is required. Keeping this in view, School of Management Studies, Sangam University is organizing a five days workshop on Research Methodology to promote research and to enhance the skill set of faculties and researchers.
The workshop aims to understand and recognize situations that require learning statistical analysis, selecting & applying appropriate technique, to promote & enrich the professional skills and to develop a climate for research.
Objectives
To enable the participants to define research problem and select suitable research design.
To imbibe capabilities for formulation and testing of hypothesis based on the nature of research
To apprehend appropriateness of statistical software packages for data analysis
