Introduction:
A Ph.D. in basic and applied science is a rigorous and challenging program that prepares students to become experts in their field of study. The program focuses on advancing knowledge and skills in a specific engineering discipline and provides students with the opportunity to conduct original research and contribute to the advancement of their field.
Program Overview:
During a PhD in Basic & Applied Science program, students typically conduct original research, publish papers, and present their findings at conferences. The program typically includes coursework in advanced topics in the student's chosen field, as well as training in research methods and statistics. The duration of the program may vary depending on the field and the institution, but it typically takes between 3 to 5 years to complete.
Program Structure
The curriculum includes compulsory coursework, research proposal and objectives, research work and progress, pre-thesis work, and thesis defense The course work comprises of five components: research methodology, advanced research methodology, doctoral foundation seminar, doctoral concentration seminar, and research & publication ethics. After successfully completing coursework, the research scholar works in close coordination and under the strict supervision of his / her research guide, prepares the research proposal, and identifies the objectives of the research work.
Progress of the research work is reviewed every six months and finally, the scholars submit their thesis and defend it. The Doctoral Research Committee (DRC) closely mentors and monitors this process.

School of Basic & Applied Sciences of Sangam University Bhilwara is one of the best B.Sc. colleges in Rajasthan. It provides Three Year B.Sc. Pass course degree programme in two groups: Group I: Physical Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics [PCM].
Group II: Life Sciences: Botany, Chemistry, Zoology [BCZ]
Eligibility Criteria:
B.Sc. (Physical Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics Group): A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 examination of CBSE or its equivalent board with Mathematics and other subjects.
BSc (BCZ Group): A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 examination of CBSE or its equivalent board with Biology and other subjects.
B.Sc. (Hons) programme that helps develop advanced research and theoretical skills of specialization in science subjects. It also helps in the building of a cutting-edge academic or professional career.
On the other hand, a B.Sc. Pass degree provides students with a sound foundation that is required for any career based on science. There are no specializations in the Pass course, as it provides an overall basic foundation for science subjects such as physics, mathematics, chemistry and in life sciences, Botany Zoology and Chemistry. and computer skills.
This program too opens several career options, though its special emphasis is multi-disciplinarily.

If you are good in science Yes, it is definitely better than the Engineering programme because it will give you all options in the field of Chemistry, Physics, mathematics and Biology etc. and related research fields.
