On 5th March 2019, Sangam University, Bhilwara conducted a Seminar on Importance of Intellectual Property Rights and their Importance for Academicians. The keynote speaker of the seminar is Prof. Govind Sharma, Former Chief, National Research Development Corporation, New Delhi.

The seminar commenced with the brief introduction of the speaker, followed with his achievements addressing the gathering. Prof. Sharma enlightened about the basic concepts of Intellectual Property. He explained the rational and aim of the seminar. He spoke at length about the categories of Intellectual Property Rights like Copyright and related rights, Patents, Industrial design, trademarks, Geographical Indications, Layout design and integrated circuits, Trade Secrets, Breeder’s right, Utility models etc. Relevant queries were arises from the side of students and faculty delegates. They got justified answers from the speakers. The interactions were very relevant and meaningful. Participants would be benefitted with this event. Many faculty members, Researchers and students of University were presented in the seminar.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. K.P.Yadav, Vice Chancellor, Sangam University were invited in the valedictory session. Prof. Yadav summarized and concluded the session followed by the introduction of the speaker. Vote of thanks was delivered by the Dr. O.P.Gupta, Registrar, Sangam University after the motivating speech of the guest.
