International Cell - Sangam University

International Cell

The Directorate of International Cell (DOIC) is a university unit dedicated to managing international relations and collaborations. Its primary goal is to enhance the global engagement and visibility of the organization. A committed team of staff leads this cell with guidance from an advisory council made up of faculty and administrators from key academic divisions. The purpose of this cell is to foster internationalization and develop partnerships with global institutions. It focuses largely on collaborative efforts among students and faculty. This cell oversees initiatives related to exchange programs, semester programs abroad, student mobility, opportunities in higher education, and the establishment of MoUs with both local and international educational and research bodies, as well as other global initiatives. It offers a comprehensive and cohesive framework to ensure that all efforts in the international domain are executed smoothly.

The Directorate of International Cell’s primary function is to lead, support, and synchronise the university's international operations with foreign institutions and governments. In fulfilling this leadership role, the office recognises the importance of the unique initiatives, requirements, and creativity of faculty and students throughout the university. Consequently, its main objective is to coordinate various activities from a central point while facilitating interrelated and concurrent efforts in alignment with a well-defined international strategic plan. The central focus is to serve as a unified resource for faculty, staff, and students, providing the necessary assistance for all their international endeavours. Individual colleges and schools will continue to pursue their initiatives, but will be required to coordinate through this central office.

The office will assist in aligning international opportunities with each college’s curriculum, promote student mobility between institutions, enrol international students for both short-term and long-term programs, facilitate institutional grants and contracts, and pursue projects that add value for the university as a whole.
