International Conference On Environmental & Climatic Consequences: Challenges & Mitigation Strategies
21 - 22 December 2019
ICECC 2019 - 20

Earth is the only known planet with suitable conditions that are necessary to sustain life. Natural resources such as water, air, and sunlight are the most important resources that make life possible. The planet Earth is endowed with a large variety of flora and fauna. Collectively these are known as Biodiversity and depend on each other for survival. Climate is yet another important factor for ecosystems and variations in climate maintain the balance in ecosystem. Variations in climate are affecting biodiversity, and the time is not far when these variations will become a threat to biodiversity. The meltdown of polar ice caps, glaciers, rise in carbon dioxide levels, global warming, hole in the ozone layer, etc are signs that prove our climate is facing hazardous risks. The melting of glaciers and polar ice caps is causing seawater to rise. This rise in sea level causes difficulty for corals to photosynthesize as corals need to be near the surface in order to complete the process of photosynthesis.

Global warming leads to the rise in water temperatures which leads to the bleaching of coral reefs, as a result of which the marine life depending on coral reefs faces severe disturbance. Certain human activities lead to a rise in carbon-dioxide levels in atmosphere. But the one-third of this rise is absorbed by the ocean causing the acidification of oceanic water change, the plant may find difficult to grow because being stationary the plants cannot adapt quickly to the changes.

The result is that the flora suffers, bringing hardships on the fauna depending on the former. These changes can lead to tragic outcomes such as extinction of species which can cause unbalance in biodiversity. Climate variation is also causing rainfall instead of snowfall in winter season. This variation prevents the rise in level of snow, as a result when the snow starts to melt the level of snow decreases. The outcome can cause a lack of availability of freshwater which is essential for survival. Taking cue of this scenario and serious challanges posed to the planet earth by environmental & climatic changes and their possible consequences.

We are organizing an International Conference on “Environmental & Climatic Consequences: Challenges Mitigation Strategies, where we will have a world-wide discussion and debate on the topic and try to bring awareness on the importance of change in climate, so that a peaceful ecosystem can be maintained where all the living beings can survive according to their needs.

About the Conference:

The Sangam University in collaboration with Sangam Groups of Industries is organizing Annual International Conference on Coping Change through innovation and value creation for Society on December 22-23, 2017 in Sangam University Campus.

Conference objectives:

It is being predicted that there would be a massive change in the organizations throughout the world by 2030. The changes are forecast to be primarily in the four pivotal directions. First being Innovation – where the entire world of business would strive for automation. And organizations would seek for new and advanced technology. Secondly – A new world of business, where exceptional talents will be in high demand. Third – A green world of social responsibility where the need for a powerful social conscience would be a must. Fourth – Humanness, value creation and growth would be highly prized, where workforce and companies would look for greater meaning and significance in what they do.

Academicians, researchers, practitioners, policy-makers are cordially invited to have a two-day strong discourse on the said theme so that everybody may gradually plan for better adaptability towards change.

The aim of this Conference is to provide a multi-disciplinary platform for thinkers, academia, national and international scientists, economists, business leaders, politicians and social activists to debate and share their thoughts, ideas and views on meeting the challenges, and also how the business ecosystems are likely to evolve and finally what kinds of governance will be required to meet the future needs of energy, food, water, housing, transportation, health and safety and many other essentials of civilization.
