School of Basic and Applied Science Sangam University organized two days National Seminar on the occasion of National Science Day on 28 February and 01 March 2021. The theme of the seminar was “Future of Science, Technology and Innovation: Impacts on Education Skills and Work”. Many eminent personalities attended the seminar in the online as well as in offline mode. Researchers and professors also presented their presentation on the occasion of National Science Day. The program was started by the welcome speech and brief introduction about the seminar given by Dr. Harish Nagar, Dy. Dean, School of Basic and Applied Science. Prof. (Dr.) K. P. Yadav, President Sangam University motivated the students through his talk and he highlighted the importance of Science and Technology in our daily life.
The Keynote speaker of the event Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar, Dean and HOD, Department of Environment Science, Central University of Rajasthan presented his talk on “Climate change and its impacts: the role of Science and Technology. The second keynote speaker of the event Mr. Anil Goyal, RAS, Ajmer division shared his views on “How to prepare for Civil Services” with students. Prof. (Dr.) Om Prakash Sharma, HOD, Department of Botany, Government college Bundi made students aware about the “Wild edible Forest Products” and highlight the importance of this products in medicine.
Prof.(Dr.) Hari Singh Chauhan shared the tips on “Stress free learning by memory management and goal management using simple outcomes of brain science” with students and shared his experience to reduce the stress in daily life. Prof. (Dr.) Akhilesh Kumar, Advisor Sangam University gave an inspiring speech to the students. Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Mehta, Registrar Sangam University gave appreciation to the faculties of School of Basic and Applied Science for organizing a wonderful event. Alumni students of University also shared their achievements in the field of Science and Technology with the faculty and students. Many students also presented their views on the role of Science and Technology in current scenario. Quiz, Essay, and Poster competition enhanced the enthusiasm among the students. The whole program was appreciated by intellectual fraternity and students enjoyed a lot the activities of the program. A poetry program was also presented by Dr. Avdhesh Jaahori in this event. The program was ended on a vote of thanks given by Dr. Seema Kabra.
