Science Day 2024 was celebrated at the local Sangam University, Bhilwara. Dean of School of Basic and Applied Science and program coordinator Professor Preeti Mehta said that various programs were organized in the university on the theme of this year’s Science Day, “Indigenous Technology for Developed India”. The key focus of the 2024 National Science Day theme is to promote science and technology among the public and enhance their practical thinking about science and technology. On the first day of the two-day Science Day organized in the honor of Dr. CV Raman, inaugural session, live science project and quiz competition were organized. The keynote speaker of the inaugural session, Dr. Neelu Chauhan, Associate Professor, University of Kota, gave her session on Nano Particles. Prof. VC Prof. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, Registrar Prof. Rajeev Mehta etc. also expressed their views on Science Day in the inaugural session. On the second day, competitions like poster presentation, paper presentation, documentary etc. were organized. About 100 students from various colleges participated in the two-day program. More than 100 students participated. In the closing session of the program, Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Karunesh Saxena, Prof. VC Manas Ranjan, Registrar Prof. Rajeev Mehta etc. congratulated all the students and winners on Science Day. All the winners were given certificates and cash prizes. Sanket Mittal, Ishwar Jat, Abhimanyu Dadhich of B.Sc. stood first in the quiz competition, Afaq Ansari, Faizan Ansari of Diploma first in Science Live Project, Charvi Vaishnav of B.Sc. of Semuma Girls College stood first in poster, Moushumi Hazara of B.Sc. first in Documentary, And Meenal Aggarwal stood first in paper presentation.
