School of Basic and Applied Science

The School of Basic and Applied Sciences at Sangam University equips students with scientific knowledge, skill and ability, motivating them to think creatively, helping them to act independently and take sound decisions in all their scientific pursuits and other activities. The school endeavors to impart education of fundamentals so that students can well appreciate the niceties of day-to-day problems and attempt to solve applied problems in real life situation.

The School of Basic Sciences was established to teach courses in the basic sciences at the graduate, postgraduate and research levels. It is well equipped to carry out both teaching and research activities through its various departments, namely Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geo Informatics and Biosciences. The faculty prides in developing skilled professionals who excel at solving problems. During their period of study under the faculty of science, students are expected to spend more time in laboratories than classrooms.

Application of Mathematics in our life

National mathematics day was celebrated by the Department of Mathematics, Sangam University for paying tribute to the great mathematician SrinivasanRamanujan today. On this occasion Department organized talk, seminar along with a poster competition. The theme of the program was "Application of Mathematics in our life". The aim of this program was to boost the students interest in the field of Mathematics.
