LL.B is a Bachelor of Laws Degree that is offered to aspirants who possess a graduation degree. The three-year law course is structured in such a way that the curriculum is divided into six semesters. Candidates are awarded a LL.B degree only when they complete all semesters of this three-year course. Candidates need to take part in regular theory classes, moot courts and internships.

1. What are the admission requirements of LLB courses?

There is no upper age-limit for admission. However a candidate must be at least 17 years of age on the date of application. A graduation degree with 45% marks (40% for reserved category) is the basic qualification required.

As per the recent directive by Bar Council of India, applicants who have passed 10+2 or has a graduation degree through distance learning or correspondence mode, will also be considered eligible for admission for three year LLB course. However, applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation or post-graduation through open universities system directly without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies are not eligible for admission in law courses.

2. Do I need to appear for CLAT for admission to LLB degree?
No, it is not required.
3. Which degree is better LLB or BA LLB?
Looking at the job or career prospect, both the degrees are same, as they qualify a candidate to enroll with the Bar Council of India. Academically, BA.LL.B is better as the course is of 5 yeras, so the subjects are taught in moe relaborative manner.
4. What is the difference between LLB and LLM?
LL.M is for masters degree of Law whereas LL.B is the graduation degree in law. LL.M can be persued after successful completion of BA/BBA.LL.B or LL.B degree.
5. Can LLB be done after B.Com?
Yes it can be done.
