Sangam University, known for its commitment towards education, School of Legal Studies organised a one day National Workshop on New Criminal Laws on 26th July, 2024.
The programme was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor DrKarunesh Saxena, who addressed the students and discussed the importance of the workshop. Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr.ManasRanjanPanigrahi encouraged the students and motivated them to study and progress. Registrar Professor Dr. Rajeev Mehta wished them all the best for the workshop to move towards success.
The Chief Guest of the workshop, Shri Vishal Bhargava, Additional District Judge and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority addressed the students about the new criminal law and discussed the importance of these changes in the judicial process.
The distinguished guest of the workshop, retired Judge Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma guided the students on the changes made in the BharatiyaSakshyaAdhiniyam (BSA) 2023. In this workshop, Advocate Shri Rishi Tiwari, President of Bhilwara Bar Association also discussed the new laws.
The first speaker of this workshop, Dr. Shweta Singh, from Symbiosis School of Law, Pune, shared her views on the BharatiyaNagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Her lecture gave important suggestions towards innovation and improvement in law education.
The second speaker, Dr.Anu Solanki, Supreme Court Advocate, discussed the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita(BNS) and highlighted many important points towards improving the justice system.
The coordinator of this Workshop was Dr.OmprakashSomkunwar and co-coordinator was Shri Gaurav Saxena. In this program, Dr.Sunakshi Sharma, AvtarChoubey, ShashankShekhar Singh, Aditya Dadhich, Vartika Mishra, Dr.GovardhanLal Pandey, Dr.ShrijayaPatil and Dr.VishnupriyaDadhich played an important role in making this workshop a success. The stage was conducted bylaw student DikshaDuggar. Shri Gaurav Saxena expressed his gratitude at the end of the workshop.
